FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you also supply finished packaging (printed boxes)?
No, our role is that of a technical partner and supplier of raw materials. We select and cut specialty-sized cardstock and cellulose-based composite materials, which serve as the starting point for every project. Our paper product customers handle the subsequent stages of printing, die-cutting, and creasing to create the final case or display.
Can you handle custom orders or non-standard sizes?
Sure. We handle each order on a case-by-case basis to meet your specific needs. Although the industry standard is the 72x102 format, our facilities allow us to provide formats ranging from a minimum of 50x50 to a maximum of 160x200. For smaller projects, let's work together to assess the technical feasibility based on specific agreements.
How can I replace plastic packaging with cardboard without losing the barrier properties?
Feasibility depends on the specific application, but it is already possible to replace plastic in many cases today. We offer an advanced range of cardstock that is either treated during production or laminated with technical films (including bio-based ones), designed to ensure resistance to grease, moisture, and oxygen. Our technical team will assist you in analyzing the product to identify the most suitable material for maintaining the necessary barrier properties.
Are your laminated materials (cardboard + film) recyclable?
Yes, our materials comply with the UNI EN 13430 standard and are recyclable in the paper recycling stream. In most cases, our products fall into the most advantageous CONAI contribution brackets (Bracket 1), whether they are single-material products or Type A composites.
If technical requirements call for a higher proportion of plastic, we offer an assessment and support service for Aticelca certification: this allows you to certify the level of recyclability and still obtain the applicable tax relief.
Do you provide declarations of conformity for food contact and the absence of PFAS?
Yes, every shipment we make is accompanied by a Declaration of Conformity (DoC). The document specifies suitability for food contact based on the type of product and relevant Italian and European regulations. We also provide all the documents necessary to demonstrate compliance with Regulation 40/2025 PPWR for packaging manufactured with our materials: the product Declaration of Conformity (DoC) specifies compliance with the limits for PFAS, heavy metals, and product recyclability.
What are the average delivery times for items in stock?
We guarantee extremely fast delivery times—on average, within 2 or 3 business days of the order for cardstock and 5 or 6 business days for multilayer cardstock + film.
Is it possible to request a sample for print or leak testing?
Of course. We always encourage conducting preventive tests to ensure the project's optimal performance. We provide free samples in the standard 72x102 format, but upon request, you can receive samples in custom sizes to accurately simulate the actual printing and processing conditions of your production line.
I need a material that can withstand low temperatures (freezer) or heat (microwave). Do you offer customized solutions?
Yes, of course. We offer hard-sized products specifically designed for freezer storage, which are effective even without the use of plastic components. For heating, we offer laminated materials that are technically suitable for use in microwaves and even in conventional ovens.
